As I was looking at some strange art sculptures that I found online for my recent studies, I started to think…maybe I should write something about strange designs in the fashion industry.  And I don’t mean crazy wicked non-sense, I meant the true talented designers who gave us the most out of the universe ideas in the fashion industry.

As we may know already, fashion doesn’t always comes with words like elegance…or stunning…or beautiful, they could also be strange, crazy, and over-the-top.

The Great John Galliano

John Galliano (The Great)

There are magazines (e.g. Z!NK and V) on the market that features unique designs & make-ups,  these art pieces are no doubt crazier then anything you could have ever imagine just by looking at them. (not to mention putting it into yourself) But they are just so inspiring, and you have to give applause for the ones who created them.

When talking about the most over-the-top design in the fashion industry, I think I’ll have to give it to John Galliano, and Viktor & Rolf.  These 3 gentlemen here will give you the craziest designs, visual effects and inspirations from head to toe.  And we are not even talking about Haute Couture yet.  Now let’s take a look at some of their most recent collections.

Viktor & Rolf Fall/Winter 2009/2010 (notice that the models all look like sculptures)

I guess the current collection just isn’t enough to feed my hunger for more strange fashion, I’m also giving you Galliano’s most theatrical runway shows, for both men and women collections. (He doesn’t do that for Dior though, only for his own line) Yes, I just couldn’t ignore the fact that the Men are even more outrageous then the women’s.  Also the Fall/Winter 2008/09 from Viktor & Rolf, trust me, your eyes will pop out.  LOL!!!  Enjoy!!!

Viktor & Rolf Fall/Winter 2008/09 (I think the gold stitches look like staples)

I’m not sure if you are dare to dress up like these models, (ya, may be in Halloween) but again, examine the elements of these masterpieces and apply SOME OF IT (not all!!!) to your daily wear, (not the head pieces though) trust me, you’ll see amazing results.
