I’ve always love fall more than other seasons, mainly because I can put on the coolest jackets and they won’t look as bulky as the winter ones. Leather pants, boots, chunky accessories all belong to fall season. I love the fashion trends for F/W 09/10 in particular because they contain all the elements that I like. Now, let’s see some of my favourite items. If you are interested in purchasing any of the items below, just click on the pictures, it’ll direct you to where you should be.

I’ve had this topic in my head for a long time because I’m a doll collector, my collection including Blythe, Pullip, J-Doll and Super Dollfie 60 cm. (basically all the Japanese dolls) The main reason that people are crazy about these dolls is that, they all have a style. Take a look at Barbie, I’m not a fan (she’s too perfect) but I can’t help looking at all the fashion Barbie has, from Anna Sui to Juicy Couture, to Vera Wang, no wonder collectors are so crazy.

Too Faced World Domination Tour All Access Backstage Beauty Collection ($150 Value), USD$34
I’m sure anyone of you owns a make-up palette or 2, or buying the gift sets during holiday seasons. However, do you actually use all the colours? I was browsing through Sephora.com today saw the Too Faced Beauty Collection, so all of the a sudden this question pops. Are you saving money buying them? Or are you wasting money? I guess most of you have your answer already. As a make-up artist, it saves me time and trouble to pack up a palette instead of 50 individual eyeshadow. For lip colours though, I never buy them in a palette. Mainly because I usually give the colours to the bride to touch up for the rest of the day. I wouldn’t be able to do that if I have a palette. Scraping colours from the palette and put them into little jars doesn’t look very appealing to me.

I just received an e-newsletter from NARS Cosmetics, introducing the new cleansing oil. I think cleansing oil starting to become a new trend in the skincare industry even though the Japanese has the same technology years ago. Through out my 5 years of make-up career, I’ve witnessed how it’s becoming more popular in the North American market. Cleansing oil used to be found only in Asian countries, brands including Shu Uemura, DHC and FANCL are offering cleansing oil in their skincare line for decades.

Holt Renfrew – Bloor Street held a Kenneth Jay Lane (KJL) event on Wednesday, 9th September, 2009. It was a private event for the event after the store closed and I was lucky enough to be on the guest list. I’ve always love KJL’s costume jewelry because his collections had great versatility in the use of material, and the colour choices were spectacular. Well…I wasn’t allow to take pictures, so I got shots from the window display that they put up excusively for the event, and the items that I purchased. They also include the”Faking It” book from KJL with his autograph for everyone who made a purchase.

Tweed used to look very old fashion to me. My mom would wear tweeds, only from Chanel, and not the gray ones, she’s got the jackets in navy blue tweed , black tweed and a pink with white tweed for spring, I guess those are the only ones that look acceptable to me. Not to mention the Houndstooth…never like them. This year though, there are a lot of tweed and houndstooth going on, Moschino, DKNY, John Rocha, Karl Lagerfeld, and Michael Kors are all great supporters for tweed and houndstooth.

If you are wondering who is KaiKai KiKi and Mr. DOB, I bet most of you know them, or at least have seen them before. You don’t necessarily know their names, but you’ll remember these characters took their stage at the Louis Vuitton x Takashi Murakami collection. The smiley faces, the big watery eyes, and and the colourful flower petals. I’d say that was one of the most collectible Louis Vuitton series. You may or may not love these little guys on the bag, but you’ll definitely love them as who they are, when you are not on the bags. Trust me, you’ll still love them even if you are in a cranky mood.

The most famous Japanese brand A Bathing Ape (Bape) has launched its latest Bapex Clear Collection. Bapex is not new, it was known to be Rolex inspired, and it’s actually not the first time that Bape has the Bapex Clear collection either. This Toy Watch inspired Bapex has another collection in Spring 09 that looked more conservative, this new collection has more colours.
