Also Smeal, Cdn$125

I was at a luncheon wedding yesterday for a good friend of mine, so I picked up these heels from Aldo Shoes couple of days before the wedding, which I thought they totally rock!!  I wore it and…it was fine at the beginning.  Until…I was there and trying to find the entrance with up hill and down hill, I forgot how many times I tripped and almost fell down, not a beautiful scene!!  After the wedding reception, I also felt like I want to chop my feet off, I might still wear them next time cuz I love them so much, but only on the days that I don’t have to walk AT ALL.

My inspiration…

Lifestyle - By Viennese @ June 26, 2009 11:46 PM No Comments »

MJThis is a special post to my inspiration – Michael Jackson.

I was shocked when MJ past away yesterday, I have a passion for music and I grew up listening to his music.  I grew up in HK in the 80s, started listening to Western music when I was 7, he might not be the first one I listen to, but he was definitely the first one who taught me what Western pop music is like.  I still remember how I saved up my money to buy his CDs when I was in my teenage years.  He is truly an icon, when we talk about style, he definitely has it all for that era.  If you notice that, my website logo design is also inspired by this talented trend setter.

Wedding season

Black Halo One Shoulder Ruffle Dress in Black

Black Halo One Shoulder Ruffle Dress in Black

It’s wedding season again!!  Other then doing make-up for all the pretty brides and their bridesmaids, sisters, in-laws…I have a couple to attend myself (other then just applying the make-up.)  I’ve been quite frustrated when I couldn’t find dresses to attend the weddings, I mean I could wear the dress again, iff (if and only if) they are from different groups of people.

So I’ve been checking out at the stores and online stores for some dresses.  There are a couple of them that I would recommend for those of you who are in the situations.

It’s a goat hair collar by Mui Mui for $350!

Would you wear this? What if you have long hair already, would it just be a hair extension?

Girls Gaming + Summer Diet

Lifestyle - By Viennese @ June 23, 2009 11:54 PM No Comments »

Wii Fit

I’m a big game freak myself, pretty much spend at least an hour everyday playing games, mainly on role play games.  I have basically all the consoles at home and rarely play them, including a Wii that’s been sitting around for about…6 months before I actually made up my mind in starting my summer diet with Wii Fit.

I’m sure most of you know what Wii Fit is, and probably have played it before, so I’m not gonna get into details.  I found it gives me really good motivation on working out because I know my BMI everytime I sept on the balance board, so I started to dig some more games for me to play at home and exercise at the same time. (rather then spend time traveling to the gym =D)

How much is too much? (part 2)

Apparel, Handbags, Lifestyle - By Viennese @ June 18, 2009 11:11 AM 1 Comment »

Amélie was talking about SPF the other day…and I’m actually talking money…

I was browsing a web page the other day and I found something very interesting.  Remember I told you how much I’m a t-shirt junkie and I always love Lauren Moshi’s cuz she put her illustration onto her tees?  She’s actually selling her art now, featuring a lady with a headband, gold filled wire with freshwater pearls & gold dipped leaves.  Pretty fancy eh?  Well, it doesn’t cost you a million dollar, but close!  You can buy it from here for USD$30,000, I mean if you really HAVE to have Lauren.  I don’t doubt her artistry, I believe she is a great artist, otherwise I wouldn’t buy her tees, but I’m not sure if I’ll spend that much for the same piece of art that’s on my t-shirt, which costs me about USD$100.  I can buy >300 of her other tees with this much money, or…alternative, I can frame the t-shirt and hang it up onto the wall (not a bad idea, isn’t it?)

Jimmy Choo for H&M

For the first time, H&M is collaborating with an accessory line, the glamourous Jimmy Choo for this year’s Fall/Winter collection.  I haven’t seen the whole collection yet because there are only a few pictures released from the H&M, so I’m still waiting for more to come.

Jimmy Choo for H&M 1

Jimmy Choo for H&M 2

The collection will be launched in selected stores worldwide on 14th November, 2009, I guess it’ll be another huge line up in the morning and the collection is expect to be sold within about half and hour.  This happens everytime when H&M launched designers line.  It was the same with Matthew Williamson collection, the collection was sold within 20 minutes at the H&M Eatons due to limited quantity, so prepare yourself for a line up this time for the one and only Jimmy Choo.

Neutrogena SPF 100

Neutrogena SPF 100

I’m talking about SPF levels.

I use a tinted moisturizer for my face with SPF 15, and on a hot summer day, with a tank top, I would wear SPF 30 for my body. I always thought that should be pretty decent protection, how wrong was I??? I recently discovered that (Thanks to my co-worker who happens to be a boater with porcelain skin) there is such thing as SPF 100. Neutrogena has a new sun screen which is only available in the US for now. My co-worker wears SPF 100 when she goes sailing on the weekend, and SPF 85 just on a regular day. In my opinion, if SPF 100 is really that good, and they felt that it deserves a place on the market, then I think they should get rid of the SPF 15 and 30 altogether to avoid any confusion.

Head Porter has it all

Handbags, Japanese Style - By Viennese @ June 15, 2009 1:01 PM No Comments »

LeopardI’m sure you all know how popular are “patterns” these days, we have fashion and accessories featuring the Animal Prints, Python, Poka Dots, Monogram, etc.  Now, just before these prints were back on track in the fashion industry here in North America and Europe, the Japanese already have them featuring at all time.  One brand in particular, has all these designs and they have kept going strong in Asia, that is Head Porter from Japan.

A bag of jokes…

"MY OTHER BAG IS LOUIS VUITTON" mini tote, USD$45

"MY OTHER BAG IS LOUIS VUITTON" mini tote, USD$45

I subscribed newsletters from a couple of Japanese online stores at Rakutan so that I can keep updated with the latest Japanese fashion and trends, and I realize that Japan is very fast in terms of screaming out their they unique trends and styles.  Anyways, so I’ve the newsletter e-mail from a store, I opened it and I can’t stop laughing about these canvas bags…the letters written on the bag as “MY OTHER BAG IS LOUIS VUITTON.”  I thought this must be some kind of joke from the Japanese, I clicked into the website and see if there are other selections, I saw the same bag with Hermès, Chanel, and Gucci…and then I found out, the bags were actually designed by a New Yorker – Jessica Kagan Cushman (JKC).
